Watch out! I'm crawling! And getting into absolutely everything!

Uh oh! I'm mobile! I've been pulling off doorstoppers and trying to stick my fingers into electrical outlets. Everything is oh so interesting! I love this! I've been sleeping better (only waking up once per night now) and attempting more and more solid foods. It's just taken a lot of persistence on mommy's part. I drink out of my sippy cup and my favorite food is bananas. I can stand for a while if holding onto something. I say "dada" when looking at daddy. I am happiest when I am in the same room as my sister and mommy. I love being rocked and held. If I ever cry, just pick me up and I stop immediately. My eyes are still hazel and my hair appears to be lightening up. I am cute, wonderful, and a very special little boy.

The Tattletale, Dancer, and Singer

Here I am! The Tattle, the dancer, and the singer. Today mommy arrived at playschool to pick me up and found me in the middle of a circle of students and parents who were smiling at me while I danced and sang to a dinosaur song. The teachers went on to tell mommy that I should be enrolled in a dance class. I can also sing my entire ABCs song, Row Row Your Boat, The wheels on the bus go round and round, and so many others. I even make up my own songs. Mommy recorded me singing Row Row Your boat, but she needs to upload it still. Let's see. What else? I am adorable, sweet, and wonderful. Then I tattled on mommy the other day. Here is how the conversation went:

Daddy: Who ate the rest of the Girl Scout Cookies?
Mommy: I didn't.
Me: Mommy ate them. They're all gone! (Then I glared at mommy)

Other cute things I say:

(While at the museum): "Alexie went in the big girl potty at the dinosaur's house!"
(After reading Dr. Daisy, M.D., A Mickey mouse clubhouse book): "Daddy is a doctor just like Dr. Daisy!"

Then there was the big fall. I have been going potty and wearing big girl panties all this time. I even hold it all night or wake up when I have to go. Lately, I have been telling mommy, "Alexie go potty. Mommy No! Mommy stay here with Mister." This is because I want to go all by myself. Another thing I tried to do all by myself is climb into my booster seat on my chair at the kitchen table when mommy announced it was time for dinner. Normally I don't climb up on my own so mommy wasn't expecting it. The next thing she knew I had fallen and was screaming under the kitchen table. I had what mommy and daddy thought was the largest hematoma ever on my head. I had to ice it and mommy and daddy kept a close eye on me for the next few days. In the end, I am fine, I just have a giant bruise on my forehead. Poor me! I haven't tried to climb into the booster seat on my own since!

Picture that Alexie drew on her easel

This is the first time she's drawn anything that's not crazy all over the place. Her first drawing of her family!

What's been going on this week? Well, let's see. We've all been sick (except for Ryan) of course. Everyone seems to be better now, though, and we're keeping our fingers crossed that no other illnesses come our way. Ryan's crazy schedule and me starting to teach online courses again does not leave much time to lose sleep over being sick. The Broncos lost which made Ryan and my poor little boy upset. My poor Mister B was all decked out in his Broncos gear and ready for a big win, but no such luck. He ended up going to bed early. My girly girl is like her mommy and could really care less about football. Thank goodness. I hope this girl stays in this mindset so when she gets older we can shop while the guys watch football! Otherwise, it's been a good week. Ryan got MLK day off so that was a wonderful surprise. I have more of our weekend fun coming up to post about, but I just heard a little Mister B wake up so will have to do it later.
